Live Text and Widget Support

Live Text and Widgets should be familiar to Notes and Expeditor users and starting in 8.5.2, Sametime now provides support for Live Text. Sametime will include the following Live Text enabled actions by default:

• Open Chat with recognized person names.
• Open Chat History for a recognized person name.
• Call a recognized person or phone number.

Sametime Standalone
In stand-alone Sametime Connect, users will also be able to create or install their own widgets as they can do in Notes and Expeditor today using the My Widgets shelf. An example would be an address based widget like a weather web site

Live text will be available in stand-alone Sametime Connect from within chat transcript and chat history windows.

Sametime Embedded in Notes

Notes 8.5.3 has support for widgets and live text. Starting with Sametime 8.5.2, live text will be available within chat transcript and chat history windows. Additionally, Notes views that were previously enabled for live text will now have the ST live text actions including the ability to call, chat with or open chat history against recognized names, as well as call phone numbers.
